AGLOW Kids (Always Growing, Loving, Obeying and Working for Jesus) Children's Church program for children ages 4 - 5th grade
Our children's church program, AGLOW Kids, is offered in the Family Life Center immediately following their dismissal from the morning worship, usually at 11:15. Volunteers use the 252 Basics Curriculum which is built around three basic truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52.
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Each month the group learns a new virtue such as uniqueness, peace or kindness. On Sundays different aspects of the virtue are taught in both large and small group times. During the large group fellowship there is a story and skit to teach the virtue, praise music and prayer time. The children are then split into smaller age appropriate groups where they usually have a hands-on activity or game to help them better understand the virtue being taught.
The curriculum is unique in that the principles taught on Sunday can be carried throughout the week. Families are encouraged to get involved in learning the virtue of the month with at-home materials the children are given each Sunday morning.
The Virtue for January is "Self Control".
AGLOW KIDS MEET IN FAMILY LIFE CENTER AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME AS THEY ARE DISMISSED FROM MORNING WORSHIP - APPROX. 11:20 A.M.
Wednesday Evenings (6:30 p.m.)
- Nursery (Infants to age 3)
- 4 year old class
- G-Zone (for school age children up to 5th grade)
Children’s G-Zone lessons are also based on the virtue introduced in AGLOW children’s church on Sunday.
