covid-19

A few important things to consider:

If you consider yourself vulnerable due to health condition, age, or any other circumstance, please continue to enjoy our live online worship services. We pray God’s guidance and wisdom be with all of us as we decide not just the risk to ourselves, but also to those with whom we may come in contact.

If you are having symptoms, we encourage you not to attend the in-person services in consideration for the safety of others in attendance. If you are sick, please let us know so we can pray for you, and someone will even pray with you in-person if you would like.

You are still considered a faithful Christian if you choose not to return to in-person worship at this time because of your understanding of the Covid-19 virus. There is no prize here. So let us not think we are gaining points with God if we attend worship during this time, and let us not think we are losing them if we choose not to attend.

We pray you are led by the Holy Spirit and make wise choices as you have the opportunity to do so.

Services will be modified in these ways, along with others:

  • Members please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to service time. Please try to come directly to your service location without visiting in the parking areas.
  • Congregational seating for 50 is available in the sanctuary and the Family Life Center.
  • Please enter the sanctuary service at the main lobby doors while observing appropriate distancing between families. The children’s wing will be closed, and these doors will remain locked. As you arrive, please take your reserved seat with your family members.
  • When entering for worship in the Family Life Center, please use the south side doors (not the main door near the restroom or other doors to the Youth wing). Observe appropriate distancing as you enter and take your reserved seat.
  • Face coverings are encouraged as this will help you contain a cough or sneeze.
  • A nursery is not available at this time.
  • The Sunday school wing, Children’s wing, kitchen, and youth facilities will remain closed to access at this time.
  • As handshakes and hugs are not possible, please use these few minutes in quiet meditation and prayer.
  • When an acolyte is in attendance, he or she will bring the Light into our service by lighting both candles. Shared acolyte robes may be worn once every 7 days.
  • The offering plates will not be passed as usual. You may leave your offering or tithe in the provided container in the lobby or Family Life Center.
  • We will not sing congregational hymns at this time, and we will not have a full choir or hand bell choir. We will have special music to prepare our hearts for God’s message.
  • As the service is concluded and your spirit is renewed, you may exit beginning with the back row leaving first. Please remember to take any personal items or papers with you as you leave. An usher may assist if needed. Fellowship in the lobby is not permitted at this time.
  • Restroom facilities are available. If fully occupied, please wait in the hallway with appropriate distancing.
  • When all worshipers have exited the building, cleaning will begin to prepare for the following service. All commonly used surfaces will be properly sanitized. This process will be completed before anyone is permitted to enter for the next service.
  • Worshipers may arrive 15 minutes prior to services provided that cleaning procedures have been completed. Please remain in your vehicle until the facilities are open.
